Benefits of a membership

Becoming a Rotary member connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your desire to give back. Through regular meetings, social events, and volunteer projects, you’ll:

  • learn about issues facing our community and the world

  • connect with other leaders who are making an impact

  • expand your leadership and professional skills

  • network with other professionals and build lifelong friendships

Members who travel will find that belonging to Rotary will open doors throughout the world. Every member is welcome - even encouraged - to attend any of the 35,000 clubs in more than 168 countries around the world. This bond creates an instant friendship wherever you are in the world.

What's expected of me?

What members get out of Rotary depends largely on what they put into it. Membership requirements are designed to help members more fully participate in and enjoy their Rotary experience. As a club member, you’ll be asked to:

Attend meetings and events

Attending club meetings, community service events and socials allows members to enjoy their club’s fellowship and enrich their professional and personal knowledge. We encourage that you attend two events or more per month, which could be a combination of meetings, social events, committee meetings, or community service events. We aim to offer a variety of event types and on different days and times, to be most flexible for busy professionals.

Pay club dues

Member dues cover club operating expenses, including Rotary International and district dues. Total monthly dues for our club is $40. Here is the breakdown:

  • Rotary International - $7.50

  • District 6450 - $9.17

  • Annual donation to The Rotary Foundation, Every Rotarian Every Year - $8.33

  • Club dues - $15.00

Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference

By participating in club service projects, committees, and meetings, members learn about their club’s involvement in local and international projects and can volunteer their time and talents where they are most needed. Members find that Rotary gives them a chance to build new skills in leadership, project management and public speaking.

Abide by the “4-way test”

Rotary is a network of business, professional and community leaders, who have a culture of high level of integrity and purpose. One of Rotary’s core principles is the “4-way Test” which governs ethical standards. Rotarians are expected to be ethical in business and personal relationships.

Of the things we think, say, and do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?

  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
